What you'll be doing:

  • Define one-of-a-kind products that use the cutting edge of AI and machine learning
  • Bring self-driving capabilities to a variety of vehicles such as cars, trucks, robo-taxis, unmanned semis etc
  • Collaborate with major automotive OEMs and suppliers all over the world to facilitate the launch of NVIDIA solutions to mass market
  • Utilize powerful simulation capabilities in the to accelerate the development and testing

What we need to see:

  • Derive and manage requirements for an autonomous driving software system and subsystems such as camera perception, sensor fusion, etc.
  • Guide the development of test cases and test procedures that link to the requirements and assist in identifying test method to achieve requirements coverage
  • Collaborate with safety team to identify safety requirements, explore redundancy options, and tackle methods to ensure safety goals are mets
  • Work closely with perception software engineers to thoroughly understand the challenges and capabilities of the specific module and provide guidance on systems level standard methodologies in order to improve the efficiency development and testing
  • Handle incoming requirements and change requests from various partners such as downstream applications, external customers, marketing and sales etc.
  • Work closely with simulation team to reproduce real test cases in the simulation

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Advanced degree in robotics, aerospace, computer engineer, electronics engineering or related fields.
  • 6+ years of industry experience in robotics, autonomous vehicle, aerospace, automotive or related mission critical fields
  • Strong familiarity with production software life cycle development process methods and tools (PMTs). This could include DO178, SPICE or ASPICE, ISO 12207. Exposure to ISO 26262/IEC61508.
  • Derived, developed and managed systems-level and sub-systems level requirements, including decomposition, traceability, testability/coverage etc.
  • Working knowledge of standard systems engineering tools such as DOORs, JIRA, SysML, Rationale, Polarion, etc.
  • Experience with implementing V&V methodologies for safety critical software applications for compliance with function safety. Various testing and coverage methodologies.
  • Strong familiarity with physics and mathematics for deriving use cases and requirements based on first principles of motion and dynamics.
  • Have proficiency in C/C++, python, or matlab programming/debugging skills.
  • Shipped software products to market in production cars/automobiles, avionics/aircraft or other vehicles that require safety critical software for real-time on-board automation or alerting.
  • Experience with interpreting and fulfilling industry standards in vehicle automation such as NCAP, SAE, FMVSS, ISO-TC204-standards (ITS), IIHS etc.
  • Sensor based perception, Fusion or scene interpretation, Drive policy or behavior, Controls and actuation.
  • Familiarity with ECU system's architecture in automobiles, automotive communication interfaces, or automotive software architectures.
  • Knowledge of current Tier 1s, Tier 2s and development ecosystem in automotive ADAS supply chain.
