We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Program Manager for our Cloud C4E (Center For Enablement) team with experience across technical disciplines within an Agile and Scrum-based development environment. This position requires a sharp individual who won't miss details while guiding multiple teams. You're very familiar with using and guiding others on how to use tools such as Git, Codeship, Excel, Slack, Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, etc. Bachelors' degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience Scrum Master certification or PMP or equivalent experience ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience.

As the program manager for SVB's cloud C4E you will help build and execute our strategy for migrating our existing Apps to AWS platform and building new applications on AWS platform. This will consist of using native PaaS, IaaS, as well as strategy on custom built apps on containers. The individual will mentor others and help drive an adoption of the program organization wide. In addition, the individual will work closely with our product engineering organization on their transformation to AWS.


  • You'll own internal/external communications to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of program status and risks
  • Drive program success by developing milestones and holding leads and teams accountable for deliverables
  • Provide expert and actionable guidance on development best practices - teams can look to you for crafting sound plans to make progress
  • Work with Cloud Ops leads to develop OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and track progress against initiatives that will "move the needle"
  • Collaborate with Program Managers within the organization to oversee dependent release activities and deliverables to stay one step ahead of potential blockers
  • Proactively identify potential issues and inefficiencies
  • You are a master communicator and a strategic thinker - you're able to communicate and act upon risks appropriately and effectively
  • You possess strong technical acumen, with fundamental knowledge of key cloud technologies and tools (AWS, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes).
  • This knowledge doesn't need to be practical, but at a level of understanding needed to lead development or release tasks
  • Experience in building infrastructure at scale or deploying complex cloud solutions.
  • Understanding of AWS, Azure, or other cloud technologies, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Understanding of managing full life-cycle of large-scale program /projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects / initiatives.
  • Ability to become the change agent for the program and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Work with cross matrix organization to drive outcomes for the program.
  • Exposure to or understanding of Product focused program management
  • Strong communication skills; skilled at cross-functional and cross-organizational communication
  • Understanding of DevOps and Configuration management best practices
  • Provide weekly status, update storyboards, and help define and write project plan

  • 10 years of Project Management experience
  • 3-4 years of managing technical Public Cloud or BigData projects preferably AWS
  • Must have an application development or infrastructure background
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical ELD or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a software focused program/project management and in the business technology market in IaaS, PaaS, cloud computing and/or emerging technologies.
  • Comfortable talking about technical things with business people and business things with technical people.
  • Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
  • Experience in understanding of architecting and developing large scale distributed systems on Cloud.
  • Experience in Managing project schedules, identifying possible issues and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer facing experience of discovery, assessment, execution, and operations.
  • One or more AWS certifications preferred
