Responsibilities

  • Executes on the defined strategy and vision for a product
  • Gathers, documents, designs and tests the best possible customer experience and incorporates the voice of the customer into the product roadmap; Involves engineers, designers and others to create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined product roadmap
  • Researches competitors and verticals; prepares atypical reports related to financial position, competitive position and market potential
  • Creates and collaborates on the financial business models, conducts compelling business opportunity reviews with more senior team members
  • Defines metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvements
  • Designs product training curriculum; participates in cross-functional trainings and meetings
  • Identifies and collaborates with partners to improve or extend the product Backlog Prioritization
  • Creates backlogs, working regularly with the team to refine and add detail where needed; Collaborates closely with technology teams
  • Leads definition of allowable configurations, test cases and executes UAT
  • Manages stakeholder expectations within and/or across functions; Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders and communications effectively; Understands stakeholder needs and builds effective relationships; Utilizes effective methods of communication with stakeholders, varying approach accordingly
  • Executes on the defined strategy and vision for Network Edge as it pertains to Customer Experience and General Commercial Transactions
  • Gathers, documents, designs and tests the best possible customer experience and incorporates the voice of the customer into the product roadmap; Involves engineers, designers and others to create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined roadmap to enable seamless product orderability, deployment
  • Defines and improves the transactional user experiences for User / Account, Billing, RBAC / Permissions, Contracting and other critical Back Office flows to enable a fully digital ordering experience that scales
  • Act as Documentation SME and assist Tech Writers and Outbound Product Managers with appropriate levels of support documentation and/or reference to internal and external documentation site/resources
  • Provide commerce specific Sales Support (2nd Tier) to facilitate sales and deal flow

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field (or equivalent); MBA or equivalent experied desired
  • 7+ years of prior experience as a Product Manager in networking, saas or related field
  • Have working technical knowledge of common network application architectures, features and functions, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN appliances, etc.
  • Have technical knowledge of how APIs and their integrations function.
  • Have knowledge and experience with common frameworks for NFV and SDN, including ETSI NFV architecture, common controller and orchestration technologies, and open standards software platforms such as ONAP and OpenStack.
  • Trained and worked in Agile development methodology with experience as managing backlogs, creating users stories, etc
  • Proven experience in setting direction for technology teams, prioritizing development activities, and driving new product development investments in an organization using Agile methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities and an extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work
  • Ability to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team to deliver business results.
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated proactive contributor and subject matter expert on the product.Familiarity with business issues, or the ability to quickly learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
