Rosemount Measurement & Analytical, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer / Product Manager at our Shakopee, MN location.
Rosemount is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.
Description

The SeniorProduct Engineer / Product Manager will be responsible for managing and owningassigned products and/or product portfolio within the Liquid and Combustionproduct group to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met. This is aunique opportunity to provide leadership and experience to a product line withmany new product investments and opportunity for significant growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Rosemount Liquid Analysis products, markets, and applications. Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting robust global market research supported by ongoing customer visits and customer needs analysis. Understand and be able to apply customer segmentation techniques to new and existing products.
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge applicable to assigned products/product line.
  • Lead product management activities for assigned products/product line.
  • Leads portfolio management for assigned products/product lines, including reviewing products for obsolescence and/or consolidation.
  • Leads new product development incorporating the voice of the customer into the new product development process, and engaging with design engineering and other functional teams to assure customer needs and business financial targets are met.
  • Leads team in defining and achieving product line financial targets of revenue, unit growth, profitability and market participation.
  • Takes a lead role in pricing and discount structure strategy and execution
  • Develop business strategy for competition, their products and their markets. Develop technical familiarity with competitive products.
  • Participate with the global salesforce, world area marketing, and business development and Integrated Marketing to identify customer facing initiatives required to achieve growth goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal and external champion for assigned products/product lines.
  • Develops and implements a companywide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Provides management and leadership to assigned product lines and the teams who support them.

Additional Information
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. This position requires approximately 30% travel.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical discipline. MBA preferred
  • Four (4) to Six (6) years related experience
