As a Developer Productivity Engineer, you will be a member of the new product development team that supports the design and development of innovative products within the Surgical Innovations business.
The Minimally Invasive Therapies Group strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.

SURGICAL INNOVATIONS sets the standard for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) by creating innovative surgical products and services that focus on obesity and diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, abdominal wall, pelvic region, and the head and neck.

A Day in the Life of a Developer Productivity Engineer:

  • Owns Virtual Machine Servers; handles hardware issues as needed
  • Creates and manages Linux Virtual Machines
  • Performs Linux administration tasks
  • Creates Bamboo builds and plans for integration tests
  • Manages test hardware setup
  • Works with Software Engineers to design and implement integration tests
  • Creates documentation throughout the configuration management process
  • Commits to achieving and exceeding project goals and timelines
  • Performs duties in compliance with the Quality System

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience supporting embedded Linux and real-time applications
  • Knowledge of Linux Yocto, KVM, Kimchi, Wok, and LVM
  • Working knowledge of software development best practices
  • Experience with Qt, SQLite, Cybersecurity
  • Experience with packages such as Docker and Artifactory
  • Medical device experience
