Recruiters are responsible for ensuring that all company deliverables and efforts related to the talent acquisition are met. Recruiters are responsible for managing the full life-cycle of the recruitment process. Recruiters are lead catalysts in the companys effort to establish and maintain a highly skilled and talented workforce. Recruiters work as part of a recruiting or human resources team.

Essential functions:

  • Confers with senior leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.

  • Builds and maintains a candidate pipeline through research, cold calls, social media, networking etc.

  • Maintains candidate activity in the applicant tracking system/database and track key recruiting analytics to provide weekly status reports to senior leadership.

  • Leverages online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit qualified candidates.

  • Prepares position descriptions.

  • Develops customized recruitment strategies.

  • Utilizes creative sourcing techniques to find and attract top talent.

  • Reviews applications for minimum qualifications, verifying that they possess the level of experience and education required for the position.

  • Interviews all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers, and includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies.

  • Performs detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring managers.

  • Extends offer of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of company compensation policy.

  • Manages and coordinates all communication with candidates.


BA/BS in Human Resources, business, or a similar field with 3-5 years of full life-cycle recruiting experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Previous experience recruiting for federal contracting companies highly desired.
  • Proven experience recruiting cleared personnel.

  • Experience recruiting for operational support services (i.e. financial management, program/project management, administrative support).

  • Strong proficiency with various applicant tracking systems.

  • Excellent sourcing skills including proficiency in Boolean and public resume databases (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).

  • Ability to handle and track multiple complex searches simultaneously.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines and deliverables.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
