The Project Sourcing and Procurement Manager will be part of a team that will execute multiple projects either at a specific facility or across a business segment. The individual works to build strong relationships within their assigned facilities or business segment to effectively execute project sourcing and procurement while driving process improvements and presenting innovative solutions.The individual is expected to be part of or influence a project team and work closely with the relevant stakeholders to solve problems that cross disciplines. The individual should be capable of influencing without decision rights and must be comfortable working in a cross-functional organization.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Work with project teams to develop procurement strategies and project procurement plans incorporating sourcing strategies, value creation ideas, supply market trends, internal usage/demand data, new product introduction, and global sourcing considerations.

  • Understand the legal, technical, and commercial aspects of a contract.

  • Be aware of and understand the importance of tracking and reporting key supplier performance metrics including cost savings, incremental margin, cost avoidance and other metrics as necessary.

  • Develop and manage suppliers, contractors and internal customer relationships.

  • Work with the category owners to analyze data using a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach to arrive at sourcing recommendations, identify alternatives, assess associated risks, and conduct scenario analysis.

  • Maintain bid integrity while participating in proposal evaluation processes.

  • Monitor, track, and report on success of project procurement plan and execution, including key metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement.

  • Analyze results to measure value creation and ensure ongoing support and promotion of key category strategies.

  • Analyze, synthesize and effectively communicate divisional needs to stakeholders and structure results to present to leadership.

  • Be able to execute capital procurement activities including contract negotiations, contract development, creating and managing e-sourcing events, and issuing purchase orders.

  • Foster and leverage relationships with internal customers and external stakeholders.

  • Provide coaching and training as needed to local teams in the execution of capital procurement.

What You Will Need:



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 5 years of relevant experience

  • Three years work experience in procurement/sourcing, operations, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, or project management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster positive working relationships

  • Experience with Microsoft suite including: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel an estimated 50% of the time





What Will Put You Ahead?




Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree, or higher, in engineering, accounting, or business administration
Commercial contracting knowledge and experience
Manufacturing or industrial operations knowledge and experience
Experience in negotiating and facilitating full contracting processes
Use of eProcurement/eSourcing tools
Experience with Asset Suite, SAP and MP2
Experience with manufacturing cost systems
