The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for a Program Manager to plan, lead, organize, and administer highly complex, enterprise-wide business continuity and enterprise-wide programs. Reporting to dynamic, fast-paced executive, this position will primarily support and help advance Information Technology's Business Continuity function. You will assess the organization's state of readiness and work across multiple functions/teams to integrate, monitor and track program compliance and effectiveness by developing key set of success metrics. You may also help support other enterprise-wide programs as needed.

In this pivotal role, you will work with all levels of staff both within the organization as well as with a National IT partner organization including engineers, product managers, and executives throughout the program lifecycle. Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • You will lead our business continuity program and other department-wide initiatives
  • Champion defined project and program management processes including standard methodologies
  • Lead regular interactions with executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuous working relationship and shared vision for the program/s outcome
  • Establish and ensure appropriate program governance functions in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts
  • You will develop and control the program budget and handle expenditure within agreed spending plans
  • Lead reviews with partners to identify specific needs, and address them appropriately
  • Be responsible for the development and maintenance of partner mapping, communications and reporting
  • Be an advisor, and build and manage relationships across the wider community.
  • Monitor and coordinate dependencies across projects in the program and resolves conflicts
  • You will direct or approve the establishment of frameworks and guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers, and determine their use across the program
  • Validated top-tier leader with 10+ years of project/program management experience
  • Requires five or more years of experience providing strategic guidance and leading organizational change
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills including expertise in forging strong customer relationships while utilizing influence and negotiating skills to achieve desired results. Exhibits strong customer empathy and customer sensitivity
  • Proven effective change champion and ability to work effectively with others (including remote employees) to deliver complex, critical strategic IT initiatives
  • Advanced executive level communication skills, pictorial, written and verbal. Excellent listening skills. Validated ability to write clear and concise technical documents, including design documents, specifications and technology roadmaps
  • Advanced experience using agile methodologies to deliver IT projects
  • Self-driven/motivated working style
  • Willing and able to do overnight travel that may average twenty to thirty nights (15%) per year, for project related meetings, conferences and/or training
  • U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen is required
