THE POSITION

Reporting to the VP of eCommerce, the User Experience/Design Manager is responsible for oversight, and management of the digital product design / user experience initiatives, functions, and capabilities. This individual will be responsible for building a culture of quality within the team, pushing the teams to deliver complex, scalable solutions. This person combines product-focused thinking with strong communication, collaboration, creative, analytical, and leadership skills. S/he will develop and implement a customer-centric and innovative approach and strategies for user design to produce innovation & improvements in customer experience within the Dentsply Sirona digital properties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides leadership and direction for the Product Design / User Experience team to ensure consistent operation, best practices and governance to serve the needs of Dentsply Sirona and Digital organization.
  • Executing and driving the overall product strategy, vision and roadmap for eCommerce Product Design / User Experience.
  • Developing user testing guidelines and principles to optimize online user experience.
  • Analysis of KPI's and data to identify customer behaviors trends to drive future enhancement requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and project sponsors are adequately apprised on key Product Design / User Experience initiatives.
  • Function as the subject matter expert on product design, user experience design, and usability Testing and best practices, capabilities and concepts.
  • Maintaining an understanding of leading-edge technologies and software to influence the execution of the product roadmaps and support the vision for the future in the context of the competitive landscape.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

The successful candidate will bring solid eCommerce product design and user experience background. Preferably within multi-channel B2B, B2C retailer or agency, with proven success at leading a high-performing digital team. The ideal candidate will be process-oriented with strong design and creative capabilities. While also having a high degree of comfort with ambiguity and a proven ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment. This leader will have a track record of creative problem solving to make steady progress towards achieving broader goals while understanding the overall organizational impact of both small and large decisions.

The ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver and can think through & guide others around priorities, potential risks and trade-offs.

Collaboration and Influencing - This individual will be highly collaborative. An essential skill will be the ability to partner and communicate with business stakeholders and technology leadership to define, scope and execute Dentsply Sirona digital initiatives. This will require the development of effective relationships up, down and across the organization to establish alignment on strategic initiatives.

Analytical Thinking - The successful candidate must have an analytical mindset and must use data to make decisions.

Team Leadership -The successful candidate must have a proven ability to attract, select, develop, and lead teams for high performance within a culture that is both dynamic and supportive. S/he will help his/her team members navigate the organization, manage challenges and make solid decisions with high integrity.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of eCommerce and or mobility product design, user experience development.
  • In-depth understanding of design strategies, tactics and execution approaches
  • Prior experience developing wireframes, prototypes, mockups, style guides and supporting ADA compliance initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of iterative project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of invision, Sketch, Abstract, Adobe XM and other related creative design tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven track record of influencing and managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams with competing priorities and resources.
  • Experience leading a remote team and working across geographies and time zones is preferred.
  • Knowledge of latest technology trends, suite of vendor/technology solutions/options is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills accompanied by a strong business and technical background, business operations, process improvement, and change impact.
  • 1-2 years' experience in managing a product design or user experience team - preferred

LOCATION

Expected travel - 25% with peaks and valleys
