Job Summary

The Data Coordinator Student will assist Procurement Services with complex spend analyses using statistical tools, market trend data and parametric models. You should be a sharp, curious, and analytic individual who has a passion for diving into data, building models to understand the Universitys purchasing trends, and assisting in identifying potential strategic sourcing opportunities through data analysis.


The Analysts responsibilities will include:

  • Data gathering, analyzing and interpreting information obtained across various sources
  • Reviewing and providing accurate and complete data sets as input for development of procurement strategies
  • Supporting the category management team with developing sourcing strategies (fact finding, research & analytics)
  • Analyzing large and multi-dimensional data sets, perform statistical analysis on large data set, and provide analytical support for projects
  • Perform market forecasting and predictive analytics
  • Presenting analysis conclusions to key stakeholders in a clear, understandable, and valuable way
  • Contribute to report development

Core Competencies


  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business, Market Research, Finance, Supply-Chain Management, or related degree area
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office; possesses a developed skill set specifically with Excel
  • Excellent organization and problem solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
