Job Summary:

Provide technical support and perform required maintenance of assigned assets, while supporting continuous improvement in safety and quality. Provide assistance to operating teams through improving their technical skills and assisting in line operation as required. Conduct grade changes, count changes, predictive and preventive maintenance task and associated offline support activities such as rebuilding of sub-assemblies. Complete assigned work orders in a timely and effective manner.

We offer Competitive Hourly Rates, with a starting wage of $27.27 per hour. This position is a night shift position.


  • 4 or more years of industrial mechanical experience or equivalent military training and experience
  • Technical skills in the following areas: electrical safety including Lockout/Tagout, mechanical drive systems, pneumatics & hydraulics, adhesive systems and process troubleshooting and troubleshooting.
  • Candidate must be able to work 12 hour shifts including nights, holidays, weekends and overtime.
  • Must be able to work at height and meet pulmonary requirements for wearing respirator.

  • Two-year technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field preferred.
  • Experience with high speed manufacturing and converting equipment.
  • Multicraft experience is preferred.


Shift Team Developers, Operations Reliability Leaders, Facility Reliability Leader, Asset Leaders, Asset Teams, Core Team Leaders, and Business Managers.


The incumbent reports to the Facility Reliability Leader, but will take much of their work direction from the asset team, their shift lead, reliability team and planner. The incumbent provides maintenance and technical services to continuously improve reliability, enhance capability and ensure safe operation of assets. Key responsibility of this position is equipment reliability. Typical assignments include effective interaction with reliability team, operations asset team, engineering and other maintenance team members, work order completion, preventive maintenance development and execution, machine planned and unplanned down support.

This position requires the following key skills: Technical and Process Knowledge, Oral and Written Communication, Flexibility, Planning/Organizing, Tenacity, Initiative, Thoroughness, Personal Sensitivity and Integrity.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Be a member of Fire Brigade and attend all required training.(medical ERT not required)

Process Capability:

  • Provide reliable assets, which are maintained, developed and improved in a timely manner to meet or exceed the mills objectives.
  • Maintain acceptable to outstanding attendance, at times covering for other shift maintenance team members who are off.
  • Provide technical support for meeting asset objectives, which may include traveling and serving as an emergency resource at night and on weekends.
  • Understand asset key performance indicators and efficiency opportunities. Identify and execute programs to improve asset performance which includes: using and evaluating the machine data system and troubleshooting equipment (hi-speed cameras, infrared technology, strobe lights, etc.) to determine causes and correct machine issues.
  • Support mill and sector projects, designs, installations and start up, which may including going to another shift for temporary support.
  • Enter break down notifications and any notifications necessary for proper maintenance of assets.

Situational Leadership:

  • Support downtime activities for assets such as PMs, MWOs, grade changes and other planned downs to assure continuity, updates, revisions and process start up efficiency. This activity includes providing feedback for revisions to PMs, CCc and GCs.


  • Individuals must be able to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse workforce, assisting with training activities for their key customers.
  • Communicate actively with customers, which include attendance and participation in cross over and Pre-PM/grade change meetings.


  • Provide input on potential electrical training activities.
  • Required to attend and remain current on Fire Brigade training as provided by KC.


  • Other duties as assigned.

This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the roles country only. K-C will not provide relocation support for this role.
