POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is accountable for assessing, designing, developing, planning and delivering learning programs to maximize the talent of NMDP employees for our Cell & Gene Therapy department. Collaborates with the Learning & Development team and partners with organizational leaders to strategically identify and execute solutions to meet organizational needs. This role's assignments are moderately complex (e.g. new employee orientation/onboarding, organizational compliance and department specific engagements).

ACCOUNTABILITIES:




Instructional Design:

  • Partners with business leads to drive instructional strategy for learning solutions.
  • Applies instructional design principles (i.e. ADDIE) to assess learning needs, designs and develops instructional content, and evaluates the impact of learning solutions.
  • Produces learning solutions via various learning software and tools. Creates engaging e- Learning modules when it is the best teaching methodology.

Program Facilitation:
  • Develops and delivers instructor-led training programs including curriculum design, material development, and facilitation.
  • Coordinates and manages outsourced facilitators, including vendors.
  • Executes the strategy for leadership-, team- or career-development programs.

Project Strategy and Management:

  • Leads and/or participates in cross-functional teams to identify talent needs and drive the learning strategy to meet those needs. Directs, assigns, or manages the work of others on project teams (SMEs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Instructional design and adult learning principles
  • eLearning authoring tools (i.e., Articulate, Storyline)
  • Microsoft Suite of products
  • Facilitation techniques
  • Project management

Ability to:

  • Develop effective instructional content through authoring software (Articulate, Storyline, Adobe, etc.).
  • Successfully engage diverse audiences through facilitated instructor led training programs.
  • Stay abreast of relevant knowledge and practices in the learning and development field.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen and ability to lead through influence versus direct authority.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with strong interpersonal and consultation skills.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal and external clients, using diplomacy to address conflict and resolve solutions successfully.
  • Analyze and solve problems to achieve desired business results.
  • Self-motivate to lead and execute projects on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize rapidly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Handle and maintain confidential information.
  • Travel 1-3 trips per year (as needed).
  • Must exemplify our Be The Match Standards.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 3 years of learning & development experience or Associate's degree and at least 5 years of learning & development experience.
  • Demonstrated success and experience in learning design, development, delivery and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering learning and development programs in a fast paced and high change work environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
  • Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development or Human Resources.
