This position provides a key role in researching and selecting audio visual and collaboration technologies. This position will work closely with the Security, Networking, Unified Communications, IT and AV Operations teams and the business to design and implement audio visual processes, spaces, and systems that are robust, reliable, ADA Compliant, and secure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Research and select audio visual and collaboration technologies to meet the needs of the organization, including leading Proof of concepts for such technologies

Work with Lead AV Technician, Design Engineers, and AV integrators/consultants to design standards for AV spaces including but not limited to Conference Rooms, Collaboration Areas, Digital Signage areas, multi-purpose rooms, training Rooms, including the roles to:

Produce and update AV documentation such as deployment and administrator guides.

Develop designs and solutions that meet customer functional and budgetary requirements

Generate/review functional and connection-level drawings for audio, video, control, and communications systems

Create Engineering Design Packages (to include A/V control, video, audio, and networking schematics)

Generate/review List of Materials (LOM) and monitor the ordering of A/V equipment and materials

Coordinate the requirements, integration, and installation of A/V control system programs with the Networking Team, Facilities, Operations, and AV integrators

Resolve/troubleshoot escalated issues related to

o Audio (Program and Speech, DSP based systems)

o Projection and Display Devices

o Control Systems

o Audio and Video Teleconferencing

o Digital Signage Systems

o Video Wall Display Systems

o RF Assistive listening Systems

o Remote Monitoring

o Unified Communications

o Internal IT & AV Technologies and Infrastructure

Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities

Maintain tickets by assigned status; updates/follow-up required within specified SLA urgency.

Provide operational support for meetings as required.


Skill/Job Requirements:

Minimum of five years' experience with audio-visual, corporate video, and IT related systems.
Experience with meeting collaboration software and associated monitoring tools (Webex, TMS, Zoom, Zoom Dashboard, Bluejeans)
Experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup and calibration
Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP addressing, firewalls, routers, vlans, and VPN
Unified Communications and Telepresence Systems Knowledge.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Office 2010 and 2013) and OS (Mac, Windows).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
Occasionally require to lift 50 plus lb.
Must be efficient at multi-tasking and able to work in stressful situations.
Awareness of the latest trends, hardware, and features in AV equipment
Interpersonal, delegation, and teamwork skills.
Technical written & verbal communication skills (technical writing)
Strong Project management skills
