Our internal business development team is on the front line, taking inbound leads, reactivating leads, handling initial conversations with prospective dentists interested in affiliating with Heartland Dental, compiling financial analyses, and handing off qualified leads to the Practice Transition Representative in the field. As an Internal Practice Transition Representative, you'll take an active role in strategy meetings, marketing initiatives and partnering with internal stakeholders to keep deals moving forward. You will be involved from initial contact through the successful affiliation of a dental supported office with Heartland Dental.

You should be sharp, detail oriented, quick to build rapport, a strong listener, objective and able to deal with the pressures of a high output team.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Work from our Support Office in Effingham, IL executing national lead generation.
  • Develop rapport and evaluate the prospective affiliating dentist's needs, determining how Heartland Dental fits into their career and business plan.
  • Establish Heartland Dental's position as the doctor-led Dental Service Organization (DSO) of choice by effectively presenting how our support benefits the dentist and fits into their long-term goals.
  • Contact current or prospective dentist to present the practice affiliation value proposition and create qualified leads for the external business development.
  • Ensure the prospective dentist's practice meets lead quality parameters, to ensure fit for both the dentist and Heartland Dental and affiliated professional corporations.
  • Schedule appointments utilizing multiple communication channels (phone, email, marketing campaigns).
  • Achieve daily/monthly targets for lead generation, from prospective dentists to qualified leads.
  • Build and maintain Heartland Dental's organized database of prospective dentists.
  • Project a professional and friendly image that aligns with our core values in representing Heartland Dental to dentists and the dental community.
  • Work to continually develop technical, competitive and sales skills knowledge to remain competitive and relevant in our market space.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Completion of one of the following: Associate's degree with at least two years of sales experience OR Bachelor's degree and not less than one year of sales experience.
  • Practical knowledge of sales concepts.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to answer telephone calls and communicate information to callers.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks.
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative and sound judgment.
  • Ability to travel overnight multiple times per quarter, sometimes on short notice (typically 3 nights per quarter)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Dental sales experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft CRM, Salesforce or similar platform.
  • Experience analyzing financial reports (e.g. profit & loss statements and tax returns).
