The Gypsum Divisionof Georgia-Pacific is seekinga Field Sales Representative,based in or around Atlanta, GA, to sell our full line of wallboard and exterior sheathing products inGA, AL, and the Panhandle of Florida.You role will be responsible for defending and growing market share for industry leading residential and commercial wall products, as well as launching innovative new solutions to age-old problems within the wall assembly building space.You will havesignificant growth potential both in role and within the larger Georgia-Pacific organization. This position is home based and requires about 50% travel.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

This position will promote the sales of GP value added residential and commercial wall products in assigned territory. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and building strong relationships with the key influencers, including: architects, distributors, general contractors, and sub-contractors

  • Developing and implementing strategies to grow and defend market share, including identification of project opportunities through databases, local industry associations, and relationships

  • Managing project specific initiatives including new product launches, as well as managing the traditional sales process from product selection through product delivery

  • Forecasting sales within assigned region, as well as identification of key trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions.

  • Working in conjunction with division resources to ensure filed claims are resolved in a way that is responsive and creates the most long term value.

  • Key performance metrics include territory market share, price and value creation derived from successful implementation of segment strategies

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years business-to-business sales and presentation experience

  • Experience with Microsoft office platform

  • Willingness to travel in the field up to 50% of the time

  • A valid drivers license and acceptable driving abstract

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience in building materials or construction background in sales

  • Technical experience selling in the building construction industry to architectural firms, distributors, general or sub-contractors

  • Bachelors degree specifically in building construction, architecture or engineering
