The successful Events Intern will facilitate an unforgettable experience for their guests, be favorably viewed by supervisors and peers, and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. Performance will be measured by guest and mystery shopper satisfaction surveys, departmental tests, management evaluation, and comparative beverage sales.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities::


  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Our Service System (OSS)

  • Attain and maintain the ability to perform the duties of an event coordinator

  • Maintain good relationships with various clients and vendors

  • Assist as needed on board for large events

  • Confirm details of high profile cruises to ensure event success

  • Participate in meetings with event team, on-board operations team, and clients

  • Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time and be available to work weekends

  • Create floor plans for different events on vessels

  • Assist coding invoices for Event Coordinators

  • Assist the Wedding Coordinator attending ship meetings, executing timelines, maintaining contact with vendors and maintaining communication between sales and operations

  • Additional job duties assigned

Optional Intern Responsibilities orOpportunities and Growth


  • Shadow in various departments within our corporate headquarters such as Marketing, Accounting, and Information Technology

  • Attend Q&A sessions with Corporate Leadership including but not limited to Vice Presidents and the CEO in the Corporate Office or via Webinar

Minimum qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be pursuing an associates degree or bachelors degree

  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential

  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers

  • Must possess a service orientation actively looking for ways to help others

  • Basic computer skills are required

  • Will work for extended periods without sitting

  • Required to lift furniture and other heavy items such as dishes up and down stairs

  • Will be required to be available for work on some weekends and holidays
