Electronic Technician

Required to work from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists and other instructions, both written and oral.


  • Working from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists, and other instructions, both written and oral.
  • Perform in-process testing using knowledge of basic electricity and electronics and applicable test equipment, such as: Torque transducers, electronic brakes, power supplies, multi-meters, x-y recorders, oscilloscopes, and function generators - following ESD requirements, as required.
  • Establish setups for performance tests for assemblies and subassemblies and systems.
  • This includes necessary fixtures, tooling and equipment. Some setups may require the use of temperature chambers capable of providing hot and cold environments based on individual job requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of mechanical measuring equipment such as: Dial indicators, height gauges, dial calipers and indicating micrometers as required.
  • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment such as: Torque wrenches, arbor presses, vises, microscopes and hand tools.
  • Work with Project/Product/Quality Engineering to diagnose common test failures and recommends or performs rework to correct discrepancies while maintaining the integrity of the unit.
  • Review build schedule with Assembly Supervisor and/or Assembly Department Lead, consistently meeting established time standards on work assignments.
  • Maintain production schedules or priorities established by Production Control.
  • Knowledge of electronics will aid in testing and troubleshooting from box, CCA, down to component.
  • Organizational abilities and focus are required to help our department be successful meeting our customer needs.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus over 1 year of related experience.
  • Familiarity with computer programs, such as Excel, for spreadsheet formulation and data tabulation.
  • The ability to dedicate continuous mental and visual attention to setting up and running tests on electronic products.
  • Capable of autonomous judgement to plan setups and analysis of test results.

In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.
