You should be a highly motivated, innovative, and creative Cloud Architectwith a deep understanding of cloud architecture, operations and security. You will be responsible for leading an Azure cloud migration and operations strategy.

A qualified candidate should have clear and extensive experience leading, implementing, and configuring Microsoft Azure cloud, resources and services.

You will be building, configuring, and maintaining Azure cloud across the enterprise incorporating emerging technologies and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to take a leadership role in embracing cloud technologies, but hands on and coaching experience will be vital.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Hands on design and implementation of highly available and scalable Azure Cloud environments

  • Oversees the proper implementation and integration of web and cloud-based applications and hands-on technical delivery of new services and capabilities within the Azure platform

  • Stays informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates the value to the organizations operations

  • Responsible for implementing cloud governance standards that ensure cloud security and proper controls, and end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in the cloud environment

  • Responsible for proof of concepts, spikes, and other R&D required to enable future cloud development

  • Partner with other architects and technology stakeholders to define and implement capabilities and patterns for security, data, and operations in the cloud

  • Communicates with other Application and Enterprise Architects to identify issues and roadblocks well in advance of problems

  • Communicates with the project manager on upcoming changes, events, and schedules

  • Commits to creating quality deliverables on time and on budget

  • Ability to translate company objectives into cloud architecture designs that are scalable, and support our enterprise architecture vision

  • Collaborates with team members and the Enterprise Architect to define, mature, and roll-out design and cloud standards, processes, and tools

  • Coach and mentor staff to develop a highly productive team

  • Lead and inspire a team of analysts, developers, and contractors, providing feedback and direction on design and code reviews

  • Travel up to 10% as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years as a Senior Engineer or Cloud Architect

  • 10+ years designing and implementing secure cloud frameworks

  • 5+ years of Azure implementations

  • 5+ years of systems engineering

  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure

  • Practical knowledge of configuring and implementing Azure resources and services

  • Understanding and exposure to multi-environment ecosystems

  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences

  • Ability to provide concise status updates to senior IT and business leadership

  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of building and deploying cloud applications

  • Lambda or Azure Function experience
