DESCRIPTION

As an integral component of our Architecture/Engineering Practice, we are looking for an experienced licensed architect who is enthusiastic and motivated with responsibilities including design and documentation for a broad range of project types. This individual will have experience working with an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for large transportation/aviation projects for various public agencies and entities. Assist with Architectural Design work from concept design through construction documentation for projects requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines and consultants Demonstrate creative problem-solving, organizational skills, strong production management capabilities, and a good understanding of construction documents and constructability.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA in Architecture, or MS/MA in Architecture (4-6 year degree)
  • Registered Architect (RA)
  • 4-7 years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects beyond initial licensure, including well-developed skills in three-dimensional visualization and comprehensive building design
  • Demonstrated Building Information Modeling (BIM) (Autodesk Revit Architecture 2015) AutoCAD 2015 proficiency, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
  • Design talent, graphic presentation, and effective visual/verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and constructors
  • Other preferred skills include:
  • Transit and DOT experience
  • Graphics/rendering software (SketchUp, Adobe, 3D Max, and Bentley MicroStation CAD, etc.) experience
